A three-step Process

Getting Started

Step One

To start, a Chip & Co Curbing representative will meet with you to discuss your vision for the new border. Concrete samples will be provided to help you explore the various options of color, patterns, and/or stamps for your desired area(s). After narrowing down your selections and getting a total approximate footage, a quote will be provided to you before the appointment ends. At this point, you can either schedule your project or call later with your decision.

Go Time

Step Two

The day before a scheduled project, sprinkler systems should be turned off. The day of, another walk-through will be conducted and then painted lines will go down exactly where the border will be. Any existing edging will be removed along with up to 1.5-2.5 inches of sod to prepare a solid base for the border. The concrete will be custom mixed on-site before pouring the new curb with the curbing machine. Once the concrete is down, the stamping or carving process takes place and control joints are cut. It is then time to wash up the equipment and driveway, ensuring all areas are clean. Lastly, a sealant will be applied to the border and final inspections will be conducted.

Finish & Enjoy

Step Three

The first 48 hours after the concrete is poured, it will need to be protected from any kind of contact (people, pets, sprinkler systems). While it takes about 28 days for the concrete to be cured to its full strength, you will be able to admire and enjoy your new concrete curbing long before then.
